Participation Agreement
Last Updated: September 30, 2026
This is the agreement between you and Know Reply Inc. (“Know Reply”, “we”, “us”), which
operates Earnesty. It covers posting about a software product to earn something inside it.
“The Product” is the software you’re posting about, “the Disclosure” is the short line
that says your post is rewarded (for example Ad - @Acme), and your “Reward” is what the
Product gives you for a post that counts — usually credits, sometimes tokens or a free month. The short
version follows, then More detail.
1. What this is
You get something of value from the Product — Credits, spendable inside it — in exchange for posting publicly about it.
Two other documents are part of this agreement: the Program Rules, which set out exactly what a post needs and what isn’t allowed, and the Acceptable Use Policy.
2. Disclose every post
Every post you want to count must carry the Disclosure — a short line such as
Ad - @Acme, in the language you’re posting in. It’s there because readers have to be
able to see that a post was rewarded. A post without it doesn’t verify, so it doesn’t
earn — the check runs before anything is granted, and you can fix the post and check again.
The platform’s own paid-partnership label (on X, the Paid Partnership setting) is not required for now. X doesn’t offer it to every account, and X doesn’t tell us which accounts have it, so requiring it would refuse people for something they can’t do. If X offers it to your account, please turn it on as well. We record whether it was on. A post is never refused, and a Reward is never revoked, because of the label, and the label never replaces the Disclosure. We may require it later, and we’ll tell you before we do.
You choose an appropriate disclosure language for the post you intend to write. We do not guess its language or override your choice using the platform’s classification. Choose a disclosure your readers can understand; quoting another language does not automatically require a second disclosure. Your rewards page shows the Disclosure for your selected language and tells you where it goes: for some Products it must be the first thing in the post, for others it can go anywhere. Choosing where you post and clicking the text copies it and opens that platform; on X and Threads it opens a new draft with the text already in place, first, which is right either way. Nothing is ever posted for you.
3. Say what you actually think
You must have actually used the Product, the words must be yours, and you must believe them. A bug report, a complaint, or a comparison that goes against the Product earns exactly what a glowing post earns. Earnesty never reads sentiment — nobody is scoring whether you were nice, and no Reward is ever tied to a signup or a sale.
What you choose to share
Earnesty does not require you to disclose sensitive personal information to participate. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in posts submitted for rewards, and do not disclose another person’s private information. Earnesty accesses qualifying posts to verify participation and required disclosures, as described in our Privacy Notice.
4. Rewards are not money
Your Reward has no cash value, whatever form it takes. It is not redeemable for money, not transferable, and not a gift card or other stored-value product. The Product issues it; Earnesty never pays you money and never issues a Reward — we verify the post and relay the instruction.
5. The fine print
- Be a real person, on an account you own. One account per Product — a handle can’t earn for two people.
- Posts that earned stay public and stay disclosed. Keep the post up, with its Disclosure, through the review five days after you posted. Don’t remove the Disclosure, or make the post private, to keep the Reward without the disclosure.
- No faking it. No purchased engagement, no bot or burner accounts, no recycled posts — one post, one Product, once.
- If you’re an insider, say so in the post. If you work for the Product’s company, or you’re a contractor, investor, or an immediate family member of someone who is, put it near the start. “I work at Acme” is enough. The Disclosure says you were rewarded; it doesn’t say you’re an insider.
- You must be 18 or over. Earning here means accepting something of value for a public endorsement, so the age floor is 18.
More detail
This section expands on the five above. It is part of the same agreement, not a separate set of terms.
What a post earns. The Product sets the base Reward and any possible performance bonus, shown separately on your rewards page. Waiting does not run down a Claim, but offer terms and availability may change before you post. A later check does not substitute a newer rate: a post is valued as of the moment you posted it, not the moment we looked. Reward amounts, waiting periods and limits are the Product’s numbers, not Earnesty’s. Posting does not reserve funding or guarantee acceptance. If the offer stops or its funding runs out before acceptance, your post may not earn. Once accepted, later billing changes cannot undo the Reward or its five-day review.
Your Claim Code. Your first post also carries your Claim Code — a short permanent
string, for example #earnesty_7K4PXM, that tells us the post is yours. It can go anywhere
in the post, and later posts don’t need it.
The performance bonus. Where the Product offers one, a post can earn a bonus on top, decided once, five days after your post’s own timestamp — not after we checked it. We read your post once and take the public counts the platform shows on it: views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes and bookmarks. Your post is ranked against the other posts in the same program over the last thirty days, and where it lands decides the bonus, up to a maximum the Product sets and never above it. We never look at who replied or liked, only the counts on your own post, and never at what anybody said. A post needs at least ten reported views and one interaction to be ranked. Buying or faking engagement is forbidden (section 5) and is fraud.
When you can earn again. Once the Product’s waiting period has passed since your last credited post, your next post can earn again on its own. You don’t have to spend what you earned first, ask for it, or do anything at all. One-time offers — a Drop with a closing time, or a Milestone you can earn once — don’t wait for that period. Your rewards page says, before you post, what a post can earn right now, and says so plainly when it can’t: for example when the Product has paused its rewards.
The five-day review, and deleting a post. Five days after you post, we look once more. If the post is gone, or its Disclosure has been removed, there is no bonus and the Reward for that post is revoked: it was earned under a disclosure that no longer exists. Your rewards page shows it, and your next qualifying post earns normally. Whether the Product takes back value it already gave you is the Product’s decision. Once that review has passed, deleting the post changes nothing — what it earned stays yours, and we remove the post content and counts we hold for it.
Ending participation. You can stop at any time, and so can we — either way, what you have already earned stays yours. Repeated abuse ends your participation. Apart from the five-day review above, the one exception is fraud: if a post is later shown to have been faked — bought or botted engagement, a bot account, a recycled post — the Product may reverse what that post earned. Nothing else is ever reversed. Not a change of mind, and never because of what you said.
Changes. We may update this agreement; each post is judged against the version you accepted when you posted, and material changes are shown before your next post can earn.
Who is responsible for what. The Product is the advertiser. It sets the Reward, delivers it, and is responsible for what it says about its own software. Earnesty is the layer in between: we check posts mechanically and tell the Product what to grant. Take questions about your Reward there.
What we collect about you. Your public handle and platform account ID, the posts you ask us to check or that carry the Disclosure (ID, public link, timestamp, the language the platform detected, and whether its paid-partnership label was on), the public counts the platform shows on them, and the Product’s own ID for you. We never read who replied to or liked a post. We keep the verification record as evidence your posts were disclosed. Full detail is in the USER Privacy Notice.
Governing law. Delaware law governs.
